Our Professional Driveway Installation Process

Every driveway we install follows a carefully planned process.

Step 1

Site Preparation & Excavation

We excavate the area to a depth of approximately 12 inches to remove existing soil and prepare the ground for a solid foundation.

Step 2

Sub-Base Installation

A strong MOT Type 1 sub-base foundation is installed and compacted using professional machinery to create a stable base for the driveway.

Step 3

Sharp sand layer for perfect levelling

A layer of sharp sand is spread over the compacted sub-base and carefully hand-screeded to precise levels, creating a smooth and even surface ready for paving installation.

Step 4

Block paving installation

The selected paving blocks or stones are carefully laid in the chosen pattern to achieve the desired design.

Step 5

Joint sanding and finishing

The surface is compacted using a vibrating plate and kiln-dried sand is brushed into the joints to lock the blocks securely in place.

This process ensures that your driveway does not sink, spread or develop drainage problems over time.

Nov 23 – Dean and his team have carried out a great job of converting our front garden grass, plants and tarmac path, which included single tarmav drive, into a block paved area big enough to hold three vehicles. They kept the area clean and tidy on each day they were in attendance and managed to complete, including all removal of waste, within six days, technically five, due to rain stopping works. We would highly recommend their services.
